Best wedding photography 2019

Here’s my best wedding photography 2019. It’s been one hell of a year, we’ve been far and wide across the UK again with our furthest trips to Kent to the stunning woodland Dreys & North Devon to an intimate farm with the most amazing view.

Best wedding photography 2019

I have loved 2019 some really stuck with me like Becky & Rob’s amazing day that saw Becky’s son stealing the show and making us all laugh.

Also, Lorna & Rob’s intimate wedding was brilliant. Shame about the cake Lorna! You put on such a great little wedding and not having that didn’t ruin a thing.

Roz & Luke’s fantastic day at Hodsock Priory was so good. Luke’s nephew had me in tears as he stood up in front of the whole wedding party and spoke about how amazing his Uncle Luke was!

Helen & Myles had us smiling and laughing in day. Myles is hilarious and he is so smitten with Helen that it’s amazing to be around. Their wedding was my first of the year at Hazel Gap Barn.

I finished the year off at The Ashes Barns in Stoke-on-Trent and we couldn’t have been luckier. The sun was shining all day for Lindi & Dave and although it was cold, we had such a great day!

Like last year I’m going to pick my favourites but I’ve had to expand it to my best 9, some of which are even in sets as I think they work better. It’s really been more difficult to choose this year but I’ve had fun writing this so here goes; My best wedding photography 2019.

I cannot thank my couples enough for allowing us to share their incredible days with us. If you can’t wait to see the video of all of them, please click here.

Just this.

I absolutely love this image, if I could use one photograph to describe what I love about my job, it would be this one. A genuine pure moment between two people who are besotted with each other! Katie & Jonah got married at Grace church in Nottingham and had their wonderful reception at the Walled Gardens in Beeston.

Let’s dance!

2019 has been full of dancing and these guys nailed it! Helen & Myles’ wedding at Hazel gap barn was just so much fun. You’ll find quite a few of from their wedding down below in the best of the rest. Hazel Gap Barn is an old converted barn, situated just outside the little village of Budby in north Nottinghamshire, it’s the perfect secluded setting for any wedding with stunning grounds and incredible food.

2019, you rocked.

I love being able to tell the story of the day and sometimes that is me just being present but not interfering. There are genuine moments of interactions that I love to capture. Here’s the stunning Holly and her bridesmaids’ at Little Knowle Farm in Devon.

The goofier the better.

Best wedding photography 2019

I love this for many reasons, not least because it’s a real moment but also because my couple’s trust me to capture them as a couple. Sometimes that makes for amazing photographs even if the light isn’t perfect. Give me moments like these instead over-staged shots every day of the week. The sunset at the Ashes Barns in Endon, Stoke-on-Trent is a thing of beauty, we were lucky in November to get this, especially as there was rain either side of Lindi & Dave’s wedding. Damn the end of 2019 was really wet!

Kayleigh & Christian got married at the end of the year at Hazel Gap Barn (see above). It was such a relaxed and fun day. I can’t tell you how much I love winter weddings like these. The guests are a joy, the staff are always on hand and if the weather holds we’ll brave the outdoors for shots like these.

Oh, only a Helter Skelter.

Best wedding photography 2019

Gemma & Adam’s incredible outdoor wedding at the Dreys in Kent was off the charts. They hired a Helter Skelter for their day and it was just amazing! I had to get onboard and I love these shots! Their wedding was sooo good and I can’t thank them enough for having us along, I was in no doubt that this wedding would make it into my best wedding photography 2019.

Funny as!

Best wedding photography 2019

Eleri Tunstall second shot for me for Helen & Myles’ amazing wedding at Hazel Gap Barn and whilst The Wedding Filmmakers were doing their thing we managed to grab some great candids of Helen & Myles goofing around whilst looking amazing!

Father of the Bride.

Sometimes a series of images speaks for itself, the way Lindy’s dad reacted to seeing her walk down the stairs for the first time was amazing. Lindy & Dave got married at the gorgeous Ashes Barn in Endon, just outside of Stoke-on-Trent. For a November wedding we lucked out with the weather and because of this it isn’t the only image from this wedding that made my best wedding photography 2019.

The best wedding speeches of 2019 (probably).

Best wedding photography 2019

I don’t know if it’s because I love speeches so much but I seem to have been around some of the funniest and most heart-felt speeches this year. Roz & Luke got married at Hodsock Priory and their best man’s speech was an absolute riot. Embarrassing (for Luke at least), excellently delivered and had the whole room in stitches.

Best of the rest; Best wedding photography 2019.

I also wanted to create a small video slideshow and include some of the rest of this incredible year, please take 5 and enjoy.

Connections Shoots.

2019 was another year of amazing connection shoots, my pre-wedding shoots designed to help you get the very best from your wedding photography and put you at ease for your big day. I’ll never forget taking a break from the heat in Penny Lane in Nottingham for Gemma & Adam’s incredible walk around the city.

Lindi & Dave invited me to Delamere forest during the Autumn and I’ve never been there before. I loved every minute of it.

My own photobooth really came through for me at my own wedding this year and proved to me why I own it and love it at weddings. It creates amazing memories for guests and is really a lot of fun to be had by all ages.

Just look at the state of us! This is the only shot my Wife and I got of us together in the booth. We decided to set it up the following day, and we look a right mess! It was sooo much fun, and we love it so much we’ve even used it for our “Thank You” cards.

I couldn’t have done this without you.

Best wedding photography 2019

I’ve worked with some amazing suppliers this year, some I’ve worked with before and respect a great deal and some new who’s work has blown me away. Their amazing hard work and efforts, really made these incredible weddings come to life.
