The Pumping House
Siobhon & James got married at the Pumping House in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. It was a fantastic day from start to finish. It could not have been more relaxed. The weather held for most of the day and the staff were excellent
Hidden away on the edge of Sherwood Forest The Pumping House first opened in 1905.
When you arrive, you can't miss the huge brick chimney. As you enter the building, beautiful interior details continue to wow. The renovation has been tasteful and in-keeping with a lot of the original design
Getting ready
Some of my favourite shots were at Siobhon & James' beautiful Victorian terrace house. Ruby was with me on the day, and we couldn't help but marvel the stunning little details throughout.
Siobhon and her party were so relaxed it was brilliant to be a part of. There was plenty of smiles and even some tears during the hustle and bustle.
St Peter & St Paul's
We arrived at St Peter & St Paul's under rain, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits.
There are a few weddings where I'm not allowed to photograph during the ceremony. Though a huge shame, there are still many things that can be photographed.
I did manage to capture the kiss. Ruby's face was a picture when I took this shot as it was very quiet!
The rain had cleared as we all left the church, just in time for confetti and onto an amazing journey to The Pumping House.
Look how awesome that bouquet is from Zinc Floral Design! (link below)
The Big Red Bus
Siobhon & James treated their guests to a journey in an old red London bus.
Guess who got to ride along too! Ruby got ahead of us and met us at the venue.
Capturing the arrival of the bus at the venue was a perfect example of why having two photographers is a must!
Onto the Pumping House
It's hard not to be in awe with The Pumping House. Its such a grand building and it lends itself to a perfectly relaxed wedding. The staff are fantastic and the food, well let's just say I've never had such good bangers and mash at a wedding before!
After relaxed group shots, Siobhon & James had a few minutes outside to themselves before it rained again!
Siobhon looked stunning in her beautiful dress from Iconic bride.
The Wedding Breakfast
The room was laid out beautifully, all ready for the wedding breakfast.
Siobhon & James, Peonies & Plumes the florist and The Pumping House staff did such a great job!
I keep saying this but the wedding breakfast is one of my favourite bits to photograph. Siobhon's Dad's speech was beautiful, as was James' and the best men were hilarious! I freaking love capturing memories like these.
The evening, dance and party!
Just as much fun to capture is the evening. Siobhon & James' cake was inspired by Siobhon's welsh roots. A stunning stack of welsh cakes by Pendleton bakery. Yes, they were delicious.
We were all treated to a pizza each from the amazing Mr & Mrs Pickwicks, truly delicious and a great way to keep us going for the party to come!
DJ Alex did a great job as the dance floor was a mini rave and rock out. It was hilarious to be amongst it all!
This one made it into my best of 2018. Siobhon rocking out and enjoying her amazing day!
We finished up with a sparkler shot. Although it wasn't quite dark, the high trees at the Pumping house made it just right!
I can't thank Siobhon, James & their family and friends for such a wonderful day. And here's to all the amazing suppliers that made the day so awesome!
