My Best Wedding Photography 2018. What another fantastic year, which has just flown by.
We've been as south as Banbury in Oxfordshire, and as far north as Edinburgh in Scotland. So grab a cuppa and scroll through my best wedding photography 2018.
This year, I've picked my top 5 favourite images. I found it very hard and I could have easily picked 30. Because I couldn’t resist, the rest of my favourites are in a gallery at the bottom of this post.
To all the couples who let us share your day with you, thank you so so very much!
Kirsty & Zac - Portabello Beach, Edinburgh

Edinburgh was simply amazing, not just because of Kirsty & Zac and their wonderful wedding, but the whole experience.
Ruby and I drove up a few days before, we were so excited to re-visit one of our favourite cities. It was comforting, cold and wet. However, the sun came through for us just at the right time for this shot on portabello beach. I love this because it is Kirsty & Zac to a tee; Always smiling and laughing, their day was fantastic. Their family and friends were so welcoming, making us feel right at home.
For the amazing suppliers which helped to make this image into my best wedding photography of 2018.
Dawn & Ian - The Ashes Barn, Stoke-on-Trent

Sometimes, even during the formal parts of the day, there are genuine (and brilliant) bits of spontaneity. Ian had as much of an idea about this as I did. This works far better as a series for me, so I hope you’ll forgive the technicality, that this is more than one photo!
These guys were a dream, I met them back in 2016 and shot their pre-wedding where Ian proposed in Locko Park. You can see that here. I knew from that day that they were going to be fun and their wedding did not dissapoint.

Siobhon & James - The Pumping House, Ollerton

I absolutely love this shot. Siobhon was having a great time, rocking out to an amazing set-list on the dance floor. After such a brilliant day, with everything relaxed and full of fun.
Siobhon & James' wedding started at their beautiful house in Mansfield and then we went onto the ceremony at St Peter & St Paul’s in Mansfield.
I got to ride on a big red London bus to the gorgeous Pumping House in Ollerton, I can't applaud the staff enough. The Food was amazing (best Sausage and Mash I've had in ages), the speeches were funny, heartfelt and full of genuine joy. After the dancefloor we had a whole pizza to ourselves...each (sorry, not sorry) and finished off with a sparkler shot that nearly made this list!
Siobhon and James' incredible suppliers. Thanks for making this wedding. Helping this image into my best wedding photography 2018.
Cheska & Rob - Barnsdale Lodge, Rutland

Cheska & Rob's wedding was at Barnsdale lodge in Rutland, and was such a great day. Ruby is rightly proud of this one, and I love it so much, that it's pushed one of mine out of the top 5 of my best wedding photography 2018!
Rob was so overwhelmed with how Cheska looked that he couldn't contain his amazement. These guys had such a wonderful day and the weather was amazing. Rutland water is a beautiful part of the world and it was great to add to our travels. I can't thank these guys enough for their hospitality and sharing their special day with us.

Lisa & Tom - Swancar Country Farm House, Trowell

I love this so much, I told Lisa and Tom to walk into the rapeseed and just pretend there was no-one around. I much prefer the real for such a striking scene like this. We were lucky, I was back at Swancar a few weeks later, only to find this beautiful sea of yellow was all gone! Being the epitome of relaxed, Lisa and Tom’s wedding was wonderful and a little bit magic.
It was great to work with so many amazing suppliers at Lisa and Tom's incredible wedding.
We loved having Dan and second photographer Ruby photograph our day! The natural candids of us and our guests really captured just how much fun everyone was having! They were not intrusive or pushy but perfect at knowing when to be a fly on the wall and when to make sure we got the pictures we wanted!

Sumo Wrestling to lightsabre guard of honour.
From Sarah & Ben’s Sumo wrestling and outdoor food van dinner at the Walled Gardens, to Lucy and Andy’s lightsabre guard of honour at Shottle Hall, it seems like too much has happened to put in words.
However, the year started at the stunning Prestwold Hall for Rachel & Ryan’s beautiful wedding, although it rained, we didn't let it stop us. Above all, the speeches were just incredible and truly moving.
Near the end of the year found us at Hazel Gap Barn for Hayley & Henry’s November wedding, which was picture perfect and so relaxed.
Another level and a Silent Disco.
Mona & Richard’s wedding was just another level and probably even more fun than their incredible connection shoot at Bradgate park. While Abby and Carl’s silent disco was the best fun I’ve ever had whilst being that quiet!
Katie and Ben’s grooms men came to the rescue and swept up the flood of rainwater pouring through the church roof while the ceremony continued.
Another wedding further afield, found us in Rotherwick for the stunning, intimate wedding of Collette & Olly, just check out the postbox! Finally we found ourselves at Amy & Paul's winter wedding at the Carriage Hall. It didn't quite snow, however we did manage to borrow the Lace Market Hotel's machine to fix that!
I can't thank you enough for the best year.
I can’t thank all the couples who invited us to be a part of their big day’s this year. Just look how much fun we had!
Here’s to you 2018! Roll on 2019 🙂 x
Probably the best wedding photography 2018!
Below is a gallery which includes my other best wedding photography 2018. However, they are by no means less than the ones I’ve picked above. Again, it’s been a great year, and I’m really grateful to have been present in so many amazing moments.
