The West Mill, Derby

A converted mill hidden away in the centre of Derby, The West Mill is the perfect set-up for any winter wedding. With four specialised floors, it’s easy to see why it is so well renowned for being one of the best venues in the area.

It was a brilliant day from start to finish, not least because of the atmosphere. The food and the setup were all spot-on too. Kristina & Tom’s hard work truly paid off to produce a memorable wedding.

The beams at the West Mill make for a unique place to hang the dress and I love it!

Kristina & Tom hired an amazing team, who really helped make the day. See below for more info on the incredible suppliers.

The boys arrived ready and relaxed (well, everyone but Tom who was naturally a little nervous).

Ceremonies at the West Mill

With genuine smiles through the initial nerves, the ceremony was moving and just beautiful as friends offered fantastic readings, Kristina & Tom made it all official in style.

The ceremony at the West Mill takes place on the top floor of the mill. They've kept a lot of the features of the old building and it's simply stunning. From the old metal ceiling to the cobbled floor, it really is beautiful!

The Perfect Set-up

We lucked out with the weather, Sun in November is always welcome and it didn’t disappoint, it looks beautiful when the sun sets at the West Mill and we caught it just right.

It was cold but Kristina & Tom were troopers. We had such a laugh as the sun set down over the mill.

The Father of the Bride and Tom’s speeches were warm, emotional and funny in all the right places.

Tom’s Speech was arguably one of the best speeches from a groom I’d heard all year. As if too difficult to follow, Tom’s brother Mike absolutely nailed the best man’s speech.

Unforgettable

Tom treated us to his sublime moves during the first dance with guests whooping and smiling. Such a great atmosphere!

DJ Jeremy Prince made sure the first dance and party were on point as the night continued.

We finished the day off with a sparkler line up and then an off-camera flash shot that works really well up on the top floor at the West Mill.

I can’t thank Kristina & Tom enough for having us at The West Mill in mid-November, a truly amazing day, at such a stunning venue.

Thanks, guys, I will never forget this x
