Charlotte and John’s Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding
Photographing a Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding is great for any wedding photographer. The grounds are as stunning as the 15th Century Hall. What’s rare however is being able to do that with a church ceremony and reception at the same place. This was one of those weddings, and it was truly lovely! Better yet, Charlotte’s uncle was the vicar, making it a really special service.
“We fell in love with this venue, [the] beautiful red brick hall in the countryside, beautiful walled garden and church right next door.”
Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding, Many great reasons to get married
"We fell in love with this venue, [the] beautiful red brick hall in the countryside, beautiful walled garden and church right next door."
Holme Pierrepoint Hall is a stunning venue tucked away, outside the village of Ratcliffe-on-Trent about 10 minutes from Nottingham city centre.
The 16th century estate has a reputation for amazing food (provided by Fiona Herbert catering) and it's stunning walled garden. It's a wedding photographers dream!
It all goes by so fast
"It went very quick!"
Weddings go by so fast, it's a sure fire way to know that you're having a great day. That's one of the main reasons I treat the portraits of a wedding day like a mini break from the hustle and bustle. It gives couples the chance to just be together and take it all in.
Simplicity is key.
Charlotte and John looked amazing on their wedding day, they opted for simplicity, romantic and slick when it came to their outfits. John had a suit tailor made and he looked great! Whilst Charlotte opted for an elegent () which was just stunning.
Favourite five!
I asked Charlotte and John for 5 of their favourite images from the day:
