Connection shoot at Bradgate Park.

Mona & Richard chose the stunning Bradgate park for their connection shoot, which is famous for it's stunning landscape. With a great mix of rolling hills & flat plains, jagged rocks & gnarly oak trees. It's easy to see why it's such a popular place. As I started to shoot, The sun came out and it was just perfect.

We had so much fun that we didn't even get up to Old John, an 18th century building which sits at the highest point of the park. However, it didn't matter, the ruins of Bradgate House, open plains and rock formations where more than enough for these two!

The shoot was brilliant, Richard was a little nervous to start, however it was great, and we had such a laugh. I just can't get enough of how happy they were!

It's normal to be nervous.

It really is normal to be nervous about having your picture taken, however, a pre-wedding connection shoot is a great way to help you feel more comfortable for your big day.

To make sure you have a great time therefore, I approach all my portrait sessions the same way.

Natural connection.

I'm always looking for the natural connection between people. Wherever we are, I want genuine reactions and your goofiest smile. For example, it's not about forced poses and above all, I will always choose more natural shots.

Arriving at Bradgate park at the right time.

We arrived early at Bradgate park to avoid the crowds. This also made it possible for me to use the sun directly without worrying about harsh shadows below

I love Black & White Photography.

There's something so striking about converting bright sunshine into black and white. I love it when the light lends itself to my slightly warm edits too.
